Purchasing uFork
So, you have some cash and want to purchase uFork but don’t know how? This guide will assist you. Please note, that this is just one way to buy. There are many. This is just one example that seems to work well for a large audience.
What You Will Need
For this tutorial, you will need a Robinhood account to purchase Solana (SOL) with cash, and a Phantom Wallet to receive SOL from Robinhood. You will then swap SOL for uFork within the Phantom Wallet.
Robinhood
- Go to robinhood.com or download the app on your mobile device
- Sign up for a new account (They will guide you through the process. Complete all necessary steps and fund your new account)

Purchasing SOL on Robinhood
Use the following steps to buy crypto within your Robinhood account.
App
- Select Crypto
- Search and select the crypto you want to buy, in this case, SOL (Solana)
- Select Buy
- Enter the amount you’d like to buy
- Select the Actions (down arrow) menu, confirm the order type as Market order
- Select Review
- Swipe up to submit your order
Web classic
- Select Crypto
- Search and select the crypto you want to buy, in this case SOL (Solana)
- Select Buy
- Enter the amount you’d like to buy
- Select the Actions (down arrow) menu, to confirm the order type as Market order
- Select Review order
- Select Submit buy to place your order
You should now have SOL in your Robinhood account. You can find more information on buying and selling crypto on Robinhood here. Now, lets setup your Phantom Wallet so we have a place to send your newly purchased SOL.
Phantom Wallet
Phantom Wallet can be accessed via the web, or a mobile app. Detailed setup instructions for either application can be found here. Follow their guided setup for your preferred method.
Wallet Address to Receive SOL
Locate your address to receive SOL in your Phantom Wallet. On the mobile app, you can find this information by going to the home screen, tapping on Receive, and then choosing Solana from the pop-up list of addresses. Your Solana QR Code and partial address will appear. Tap the copy button. The app will indicate that the address has been copied.
Send SOL from Robinhood to Phantom Wallet
With your SOL address copied from your Phantom Wallet, head back over to Robinhood. In Robinhood, find Solana once again in the Crypto section. On the Solana page, you will see the Solana you purchased earlier, referred to as “Your Position”. Directly below you will see the Send and Receive buttons. Click Send.
Please note, that Robinhood may prompt you during this process to complete any verification steps if you have not already done so. You must complete the steps if prompted before you can send.
On the send screen that opens, click the Enter Manually button at the bottom. Paste your Phantom Wallet SOL address when prompted. DOUBLE-CHECK THE ADDRESS AS ANY MISTAKES CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF FUNDS. Choose the amount of SOL to transfer and follow the prompts to review and send. You will receive a confirmation message, and your SOL will arrive in your Phantom Wallet in a short period of time.
Swap SOL for uFork
Go to the home screen of your Phantom Wallet. Tap on Solana. It will show your current balance of SOL once it has arrived from Robinhood. Above your balance, tap on the Swap button.
On the Swap Tokens screen, tap the down arrow in the “You Pay” area and select Solana. In the “You Receive” area, tap the down arrow and type “ufork” into the search bar. Select UselessFork (UFORK). Enter the amount of SOL you wish to swap under “You Pay”. It will show you the estimated amount of uFork you will receive. Tap the Swap Now button when ready. Shortly after the transaction is complete, you will receive uFork in your Phantom Wallet.
